On the morning of May 25th , Mr. Fangchang Chen, chief of Fujian Bureau of Cultural Heritage Museum Division, accompanied by Mr.Xulin Cai, deputy director of Culture and Tourism Bureau of Pucheng County, and Mr.Jianan Mao，curator of Pucheng  Museum,came to Xiamen Olympic museum for inter-museum exchange. Ms. Wu, deputy curator of XOM,warmly welcomed them.

Under the guidance of the narrator, Mr. Chen and his delegation visited each exhibition hall, exchanged and communicated with Ms. Wu, deputy curator of XOM, about the Olympic culture, sports culture exhibition, cultural heritage in the museum, cultural heritage display and other aspects. Mr. Chen also put forward valuable suggestions to our museum.

Mr. Chen and his team frequently praised the architectural design of XOM, especially the design of the glass corridor, which made the space more layered and gave a modern and mysterious experience of the Olympics through the commutative changes from dark to bright. Xiamen Olympic museum was designed and founded by International Olympic committee member, chairman of the IOC Culture and Olympic Heritage Commission,  Mr.Ching-kuo Wu, who is also a world-renowned architecture expert and the curator of our Museum.

The museum has open structures and its main building is divided into upper and lower floors, which inherits the design concept of Lausanne Olympic Museum. The appearance of the building is simple and bright, while the four major exhibition are circling connected by 4 such glass verandas.

It was may, and the sun was shining through the circular skylight at the top on the Heaven Jade, the guarding treasure of XOM, appearing the beautiful colour of the natural jade under the combination effect of light and water , which attracted the attention of Mr. Chen and his companions.

Mr.Chen and his companions expressed their admiration for the luxurious collections, especially the Olympic Medal Special Exhibition and the Chinese Olympic Champions Seals Exhibition by Mozi Lin.  Mr.Jianan Mao，curator of Pucheng Museum said

“ We have a great harvest, and it will bring many inspiration to the constructions and display of Pucheng museum.

In the end , Mr.Chen and his delegation took a group photo in front of the inscription of Mr.Samaranch and Mr.Rogge.

The main function of the museum is to promote the Olympic culture, demonstrate the Olympic history and treasures to the public. Therefore people can know more about the Olympics, experience the healthy life philosophy of "faster, higher, stronger" and the Olympic spirit of "participation, justice, peace".  It is hoped that through such cultural exchanges, XOM and Pucheng Museum can make progress and better play their social functions to popularize science to the public and serve the society.
