[Curator News] Mr.Ching-Kuo Wu, Curator of XOM Attended the 11th Straits Forum and the Welcome Banquet

At 10:00 am ,June 16th, the 11th straits forum conference was held at Xiamen conference center . Mr. Ching-Kuo Wu, member of IOC, Chairman of IOC Culture and Olympic Heritage commission, and curator of Xiamen Olympic museum, attended the forum conference and the welcome dinner party.

Under the theme of "Expanding Folk Exchanges and Deepening Integrated Development", the strait forum organized 67 events in total, consisting of conference activities, and four exchange sections combined by youth exchanges, grassroots exchanges, cultural exchanges and economic exchanges, as well as the corresponding activities held in Fujian, organized by 83 units and associations from both sides of the straits (41 from the mainland and 42 from Taiwan).  

Strait forum is a cross-strait non-governmental grand exchange event jointly initiated and founded in 2009 by the Fujian provincial government, the Taiwan affairs office and dozens of cross-strait related units and non-governmental organizations, being identified as Folk, Grassroots and Extensive . Now in its 11th year, the number of organizers has increased from 54 at the beginning to 82 this year, becoming more and more popular with people on both sides of the straits. The forum has become one of the important exchanges events to promote and drive the peaceful development of cross-straits relations and also the cross-strait exchanges carnival with the largest number of institutions, the largest scale of activities, the widest scope and the strongest folk feature.
