[Curator news] Mr. Ching-Kuo Wu Attended the 4th Meeting of the IOC Coordination Committee of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games

Mr. Ching-Kuo Wu, member of IOC,founder and curator of Xiamen Olympic museum, headed for Beijing to attend the 4th meeting of IOC Coordination Committee of Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, and would go to each competition venue to study the progress of Beijing 2022.


During the meeting, theme presentations on organization and management, implementation of the new standards, construction of venues and infrastructure, preparation for test competitions, publicity, and public participation were deliverd by the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics organizing committee. Before the meeting, the coordination committee made an on-the-spot investigation of the preparation work of Yanqing and Zhangjiakou competition area.


Mr.Jiandong Zhang, vice mayor of Beijing and executive vice President of the Beijing Winter Olympics organizing committee, said at the 134th IOC session  in Lausanne on 25th June, that the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Committee will strive to create a frugal, smart and green competition. Preparations for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic committee are proceeding smoothly and orderly. He would like to reiterate that all the competition venues will be completed succesively in 2020, and a total of 15 test events will be used to test the venues and facilities. This event will be the most participated winter Olympics.
