"Linxia and Siming"

Olympic time

In order to develop students' horizons, enrich knowledge, meet the students' curiosity and desire for knowledge, let the students closely contact with and experience the Olympic culture, feel the Olympic cultural change and development, arouse the students' emotional love for the Olympics, in the afternoon of July 26 , "Linxia and Siming" middle school students summer camp group came to Xiamen Olympic museum. This activity not only expanded and enriched the students' learning space, but also made them better understand the history knowledge in the museum.

Guided by Xiamen Siming District Party Committee Propaganda Department, Xiamen Siming Bureau of Education and Linxia Bureau of Education of LinXia prefecture, hosted by Linxia county bureau of education, undertaken by Xiamen Siming district youth palace, Xiamen minors' ideological and moral construction center, the activity aimed to implement the east-west cooperation for poverty alleviation，and the education supporting work to Linxia city, Linxia prefecture and Linxia county by Xiamen Siming bureau of education, and to strengthen education exchanges.

Close to the Olympic Games, happy study trip

Under the guidance of the social education teacher, the students lined up neatly,  selected the main flag bearer and torch bearers of the team, and the rest members was to hold the Five-Stars flag.

Among the rousing Olympic anthem, flag-bearers, torchbearers and athletes walked slowly to the venue from the gyroidal railing stairway, in determined steps with Olympic hopes in mind.  The cheering groups beside the venue looked at them all the way, looking forward to the ceremony.

After entering the main venue, the flag bearer will escort the Olympic flag into the designated location, the torch bearers lit the “flame ”and the “cauldron" with respect . With the raging "flame", it was announced that the summer camp activities officially started.

Leaning time in the Olympic museum

After the ceremony, the students visited Xiamen Olympic museum under the guidance of the narrators and had an in-depth face-to-face dialogue with the Olympic cultural treasure house located in the beautiful coastal city.

During the visit, students showed great interest in the exhibits and gathered in front of the exhibition cabinets with eagerness.

The exhibition cabinet of the commemorative stamps of the previous Olympic Games was surrounded by the students, who looked at a small stamp to share the story of the beautiful picture on the stamp.

On the prize awarding podium, they experienced the elegant demeanor of the champion.

Through the explanation of the narrator, watching the Olympic exhibits and experiencing the Olympic style, the students not only enjoyed a variety of Olympic treasures, such as Olympic medals, Olympic torches, Olympic mascots and so on, but also learned a lot of Olympic knowledge, such as how the Olympic flame was collected, the meaning of the Olympic rings and so on. Students are fascinated by the unique museum, lingered on the cultural customs of previous Olympic Games, and learned about the touching stories of many Olympic champions.

Back to ancient time, I was an athlete.

Under the guidance of the teachers in the museum, they wore the ancient costumes and ushered in a journey of ancient Olympic experience.

The reporters from Xiamen Daily made a special visit to the activity, interviewed the teachers and students who participated in the activity, and asked them the feelings about the summer camp activity.

One world, one Olympic dream.

We wish the children, who will be the future of China,will bring the Olympic spirit of “Faster, Higher, Stronger” to go ahead ,no matter where they will be,or where they will study.
