Charity in Action ︱ Left Behind Children From Fuding Remote Mountainous Areas Walked into Xiamen Olympic Museum

On the morning of July 26, 2019, the left-behind children from remote mountainous areas visited Xiamen Olympic museum. In order to welcome their arrival, the staff of XOM got prepared in advance. This activity provided children with a chance to get close to the Olympicsget in touch with the latest international information of the Olympic Games and broaden their knowledge.


Education is the most fundamental and targeted way for poverty alleviation. Xiamen Olympic museum, as a public welfare organization, has been concerned about vulnerable groups for long-term , popularizing Olympic knowledge, spreading Olympic culture, and doing its best to bring Olympic knowledge to all circles of society.


Summer is the most beautiful season of a year. Summer vacation is also a good time for children to go out and learn more about life. The children of Ningde Deyuan primary school launched the Olympic museum study trip with the leading of the teachers.

The children gathered in front of the museum, brimming with innocent smiles. Under the guidance of narrators, they orderly entered the museum.

During the visit, the children stared at the various exhibits, including beautiful badges, cute mascots, fancy costumes etc., and put forward their own ideas while listening to the explanation of the narrator.

They listened to the introduction of the narrators and watched each colltection,just like the cutest angles.

Look! How carefully the children observe every detail.


During the mysterious exploration journey in the museum , the children really enjoyed themselves.  In front of the Taichi sculpture, the teacher showed the children the quintessence of this intangible traditional Chinese culture heritage.

In the museum,they learned about the various Olympic collections, and the stories behind. Their interaction and innocent smiling faces warms the whole museum.

Through the social practice activities,  the students learned the history of the Olympics and appreciated the charming of the Olympic culture; they learned to share and to get along well with their companions.  In the meantime, listening to the inspirational stories behind the collections, they learnt to be more positive to achieve their highest level in life.
