A summer camp from Ningxiang, Hunan province, named “Happy Camp”, held an opening ceremony at the Presentation Hall of Xiamen Olympic Museum on the afternoon of 23^rd, July.

Accompanied by the guide, they had a look around the museum about the Olympic collections, being attracted and impressed not only by the unique designing concept of Beijing Olympic medals, torch as well as the Olympic Fou which featuring specific Chinese culture elements, but also modern scientific technology applied in sports. Through the visit, the students were introduced about the wonderful review of both ancient Olympics and modern Olympics development. All the exhibition halls presenting different Olympic memorabilia gave students distinct chances to experience the values of modern Olympics. At the third hall, they shared the Olympic treasures as the previous Olympic torches, all kinds of Olympic medals, mascots, first-cover and commemorative stamps and so forth.

After the visit, the organizing party held a opening ceremony for its summer camp at the Presentation Hall, in the presence of teachers encouraging their students to share the personal goal of this summer camp. Most of the students thought it was a rare opportunity to develop self-dependence, enrich their knowledge, broaden their horizon and make lots of friends during the summer camp. The whole visit at the Xiamen Olympic Museum help the students acquire more knowledge concerned about the Olympics with more pleasure and excitement.
