The 12th Cross Strait (Xiamen) Cultural Industry Fair set a venue in Xiamen Olympic Museum. XOM had hosted the venue activities for nine consecutive years and this year XOM brought activities with rich contents and forms including Chinese Lanting Cross-strait painting and calligraphy Exhibition, the Voice of China Cross-Strait music concert, the Olympic painting and calligraphy competition, special experience of the Olympics, special lectures on sports and health, etc.

   The event was hosted by Xiamen Olympic Museum, co-hosted by Chinese Art Association, World Elite Newspaper, Dunhuang Daqian Art Center, co-organized by China General Cultural Exchange Association, Xiamen Elderly Institute  of  Painting  and  Calligraphy, Kinmen Angela Llisa Choir, Xiamen Mingyi Art Culture Communication Co., LTD., Kaohsiung Municipal Art and Culture Council Association, Art Dreamer Cultural and Creative Association, supported by Lianfeng Community, QianPu South Community, Old Xiamen Wharf Band, Merryasana and Fujian Free Runner Community.

  As the venue event of The 12th Cross Strait (Xiamen) Cultural Industry Fair, many leaders and guests attended, among which includes of Mr. Fangchang Chen, Director of cultural relics department of the Fujian Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau, Mr.Xianglun Huang Executive deputy director. Xiamen Next Generation Working Committee, Mr. Wei Dai, Director of the administration section of the culture and Tourism Bureau of Siming District, Ms. Yinbao Zhu, Deputy Director of  Lianqian Substrict Office, Mr. Jianan Mao, Curator of Pucheng County Museum, Mr. Weidong Wu, Deputy Curator of Xiamen Gulangyu Pangu Culture Museum, Mr. Wensheng Cai, Secretary General of Xiamen Sports Industry Association, Dr. Junzhang Cai famous painter andcalligrapher, Mr. Shouquan Lin, Chairman of Kaohsiung Municipal Art and Culture Council Association, Mr. Zhenghui Li, Director-General of Art Dreamer Cultural and Creative Association, Mr. Yuanzhang Cao, famous painter and  calligrapher, Mr. Jinlong Li, President of Xiamen Branch of China Arts Association, Ms. Jun Guo, Artistic director of Daqian Art Troupe and Ms. Yun Wu, Deputy Curator of Xiamen Olympic Museum.

    As the event started, the Star Yoga teacher from Merryasana Ms. Ziling Lin brought us a wonderful opening rhyme yoga dance, which is a combination of yoga postures and Chinese classical dance, with soft music on the basis of the healthy balance, so as to mold physique, cultivate temperament and edify sentiment; . As one of the 28 founding museums of the Olympic museums network of the International Olympic Committee, Xiamen Olympic Museum has been focusing on the development of individual sports and the better integration of individual sports and Olympic culture.

  Another performance is the violin play named "passionate sunset glow" by Ms. Jun Guo, the artistic director of Dunhuang Daqian Art Troupe. the beautiful sound of violin was lingering in the museum, making this venue intoxicated with the wonderful music. The three songs, autumn cicada, memory, moonlight night sorrow, sang by the professional singers of Jimen Angel Lisa Chorus pushed the scene to the climax with exquisite singing skills and tacit cooperation.Artists in Qianpu South community expressed their love for heroes with an audio-visual feast of Ode to Heroes with the integration of music and dance. The teachers of Lianfeng community brought the male and female  duet "never forget the original intention", which expressed the desire for the unification of the two sides of the Taiwan Straits. This activity, with the form of non-governmental exchanges, was to strengthen the two sides relations Inseparable as fish and water.

  After the performances, Ms.Yun Wu, Deputy Curator of our museum, on behalf of Xiamen Olympic Museum, expressed warm welcome to the guests at the opening ceremony, and sincere thanks to all the staff participated in this activity. Mr. Jinlong Li, President of Xiamen Branch of China Arts Association also extended sincere greetings to the guests.

  Artists from two sides of the Taiwan Straits including Xiamen famous painter and calligrapher Mr. Hailun Li,the fourth generation of descendants of Mr. Baishi Qi, Mr. Jiefei Yang, Vice President of Jimei District Senir Painter-Calligrapher Association, famous calligrapher Mr. Peng Su, famous calligrapher and painter Mr. Youren Li, member of Fujian Calligrapher Association Mr. Zuxi Huang ,famous calligrapher Mr. Jiahai Chen, famous calligrapher Mr. Fangyi Chen,member of Fujian Calligrapher Association Jianshe Chen, member of Chinese Calligraphers Association Mr. Jizhi Chen, member of Chinese Calligraphers Association Mr. Chang Luo, famous artists, Taiwan well-known painter-calligrapher Dr. Junzhang Cai, Chairman of Kaohsiung Municipal Art and Culture Council Association Mr. Shouquan Lin, held a painting and calligraphy competition in the museum. The artists used their Chinese brushes to convey the Olympic culture and spread the Olympic Games and traditional Chinese culture. There was a long queue in front of the table to see the artists and witness  their  works. Ms. Chen, a citizen, said that she was very happy and  honored to be present and would record this precious moments as permanent memory.

   The game booth was crowd with kids. Interesting games including postures tumbles, lucky set of rings, chopsticks gold beans with exquisite gifts attracted children to line up and join in. One little boy Maomao said: “I like these games and the cute prize cup. I want to win the prize and show off to my friends.

   The lecture by Jianquan Hu, co-founder and of community running fitness departent of Fujian Free Runner Community on running fitness training and sports injury protection based on his personal experience,youth sports promotion and preparation for the marathon, won unanimous applause from the audience.

   In the afternoon, music masters and fans from both sides of the Taiwan Straits presented their skills in XOM, a place with rich cultural heritage and social inclusiveness. It was a rare opportunity for deepening cross-straits cultural exchanges and relationship. "Spring Breeze "Love And Passion "performed by old Xiamen wharf band formed by the retired policemen showed the tenderness of the police. The artists of Daqian Art Troupe brought a variety of performances, including henan opera, sword dance, opera, qipao show, dance, solo and chorus.

   The whole activity successfully concluded in the joy of song and dance. Xiamen Olympic Museum, as the first museum of Olympic culture in China approved by the international Olympic Committee and the Chinese Olympic Committee, is aimed to spread the Olympic culture and welcome guests from all over the world with a warm, open and inclusive attitude.

   Volunteers of Anxi chamber of Commerce in Xiamen also took an active part in this activity, making their efforts to promote the Olympic spirit and spread the Olympic culture.
