Headed by Secretary Ye Shunhuang, 20 members of the Science Association Committee paid a visit to the Xiamen Olympic Museum. The Deputy Curator, with all the museum staff, gave a warm welcome on their arrival.

The members made a special visit to the construction works on popularization of science among the youngsters in Xiamen. With the lead of Deputy Curator Wu, Xiamen Olympic Museum won the awards of Science and Education Base of Siming District and Xiamen, one after another, and has made gratifying performance on promoting the education of science in youngsters. Since the opening, the museum has received over 5000 students in financial hardship from the poor families and the disaster-hit areas, including orphanages and mentally handicapped children. The secretary highly appreciated the efforts and success the museum has achieved for the popularization of science.

The members had a tour around the museum with great interest. After the visit, the secretary expressed his hope that the museum will make more contribution to popularizing the education of science used in sports movement.
