The 7^th Xiamen High School Students’ Outstanding Olympic Essay Awards ceremony as well as the opening ceremony of its Summer camp was held in the Museum, which’s organized by the Municipal Civilization Office, the Municipal Education Department, the Municipal Internet and Information Office, undertook by Xiamen Olympic Museum, Civil Blogger Column from Xiamen News. After the Awards, students appreciated a themed exhibition of Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics and learned some basic knowledge about the Winter Games like its sports events, technologies and theories applied like how the torch is relayed underwater, transponders and waterproof zip. They also visited four major exhibition halls as well as special exhibitions of both Nanjing Youth Olympics and London 2012 Olympics. additionally, 4D online games and a boxing ring were offered for them to experience so that the students would have a better and more profound understanding of the Olympic values—unity, friendship and fair race.
