In order to develop children's field of vision, enrich knowledge, satisfy children's curiosity and thirst for knowledge, let the students closely contact and experience the Olympic culture, feel the change and development of the Olympic culture and inspire the children to love the Olympics, on August 17th, 2019, Parent-Child Group from Longyan visited Xiamen Olympic museum. This activity not only expanded and enriched children's learning space, but also enabled them to better understand the history knowledge in the museum.

Precious time

It was the first time the students came to visit Xiamen Olympic museum. They showed great interests and curiosity for various kinds of Olympic collection, including the Olympic torches, the Olympic medals, Olympic mascots, Olympic medals,etc.. They constantly asked the narrators various questions,  and recorded the information that they were most interested in.

During the visit, the children showed great interest in the exhibits and gathered in front of the exhibition cabinets.

Through the narrator's explanation, watching cartoons, watching the Olympic exhibits and so on, the children not only enjoyed a variety of Olympic treasures, such as Olympic medals, Olympic torches, Olympic mascots and so on, but also learned a lot of Olympic knowledge, such as how the Olympic flame is collected, the meaning of the Olympic rings and so on. They were fascinated by the uniqueness of the museum, the cultural customs of previous Olympic Games and the touching stories of many Olympic champions.

After visiting the exhibition hall, under the organization of the staff, the children and their parents came to the game area, where we elaborately arranged small interactive games for them, such as Touching Stones to Cross the River, Throwing Arrows to the Vase , Balls Passing, etc..

The children interacted,  cooperated, enhanced friendship , helped each other, and had much body and mind pleasure during the games, which were comprehensive training activities to develop a variety of capacities .

As the national popular science education base, Xiamen Olympic museum always attaches great importance to the students social practice camp activities. Every year during the summer vacation , the students from all over the country enjoy rich and distinctive Olympic cultural feast here. They have deep understanding of the Olympics, benefit from the edification of the Olympic culture, actively promote the Olympic spirit and practice the Olympic values.
