The Olympic Games

In 1896, the "Father of the Modern Olympics" Pierre de Coubertin proposed to revive the modern Olympic movement and founded the first Olympic Games in Greece. Over the past 100 years, the Olympic Games have grown and flourished. Nowadays, the Olympic Games held every four years is a great sports event, which people all over the world pay much attention to and activiely participated in. The host country, , the athletes to participate in the Olympic Games, and the staff who work hard for the holding of the Olympics, volunteers and fans of the Olympic Games, are all actively involved in, contributing their strength for the successful hosting of the Olympics.

In order to welcome the 2020 Tokyo summer Olympics and lead the students to be good little hosts of the 2022 Beijing winter Olympics, Xiamen Olympic museum has launched an activity themed "Learning English with Fun, Welcoming the Olympics". It is hoped that students could learn more about the Olympic Games and approach the Olympics through their effort.

Immersed in the ocean of Olympic knowledge

Time goes by so fast,

It has been 11 years since the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games,

Standing on the awarding podium，

That was airlifted to the museum in that year

We are still full of pride

Under the guidance of the museum teachers, the students learned sports English, and carefully completed the English crossword games and painting. Patterns and puzzle games of interesting swimming, weight lifting, running, boxing and other sports deeply attracted the children, they cooperated with each other, and at the same time completed their own part independently. 

After study, they enjoyed the relaxed game with their parents.

Taking Xiamen Olympic museum as the platform, the students learned the bilingual knowledge of Olympic sports, completed the painting and puzzle games, developed various abilities and experienced the spirit of Olympics in a happy atmosphere.
